ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE SUMMER BBQ

Dear Northwest Raiders Booster Club,
I am the coordinator for the Delridge Community Center, a Seattle Parks and Recreation Facility, and we are doing a small (but BIG) part in helping the homeless by offering free shower at the center any time they need. In prior years we charged $3.00 a shower. As the Center Coordinator, I made it my mission to advocated for them and finally, as part of the Mayor’s initiative, we no longer need to charge them a dime! My staff and I still wanted to go above and beyond that and have been offering them a clean towel and shampoo, conditioner, and other toiletries. As you can imagine, with showers now being free, and the weather getting warmer, the number of people coming in to shower has gone up drastically. In the past, we had 3-5 showers a day, and now average 15-20 showers a day, offering over 1,800 this year so far. Please consider bringing in some toiletries and/or gently used towels to the BBQ on July 16th, where I will be collecting them. Any help is greatly appreciated! I want keep try and keep a count of the donations we collect at the BBQ and share that information with my manager, Superintendent and Mayor Ed Murry himself. The Raider Nation is more than amazing and they need to know the amazing things we can do for our communities.
THANK YOU RAIDER NATION!
Your Raiderette, Angie Ramirez
