Listed below are questions that's been asked over the years that may answer questions for BBQ Sunday. Also, important notes and information to make this the best BBQ Ever.
LISTED BELOW ARE THE ITEMS THE CLUB WILL BE SUPPLYING THIS YEAR:
Charcoal, Bottle Water, Napkins, Paper Plates,
& Plastic Cups.
IF YOU ARE BRINGING A SIDE DISH TO SHARE
PLEASE USE DISPOSABLE DISHWARE.
BBQ FAQ:
What should I bring?
Since we are doing a Potluck Style BBQ, we suggest that you bring what you will grill and share with your family and a side dish to share with others like homemade chili, potato salad, tamales etc. (maybe a extra pack of hot dogs or burgers for cook off or extra food)
Can we donate items to help with the BBQ?
YES, with this being a full day event, we want to make sure we don't run out of key items. Listed below are a few things that would help greatly...
Tubs, Foil, Plastic Wrap, Serving Utensils, Folding Tables & Chairs, Trash Bags, First Aid Kits, Grilling Tools and ICE ICE BABY (can never have too much Ice).
Will the BBQ be cancelled if it rains or is cloudy?
SUNNY SUNDAY: We will have the BBQ no matter what from 11am-8pm.
Is this a Raiders Only event? Can I bring a friend?
This is the Northwest Raiders biggest events of the year before football season. With that said, WE ARE FAMILY & FAN FRIENDLY ORGANIZATION.
We welcome you, your family, your friends and even the haters. We have a Code Of Conduct that applies to all. We are all here to enjoy the day with good people no matter the jersey color we wear. We have plenty of parking and room to enjoy each other.
Since it's a STATE PARK what can we expect?
For parking, it's $10 per car (day pass) or if you have a Discover Pass it's free. They will have State Troopers patrolling so it's up to us as Raiders and responsible adults to watch out for each other to avoid any issues. Dogs are welcome to be there as long as their on a leash.
AS STATED ABOVE
There are some rules we have no control over which is
NO KEGS, NO WATER BALLOONS,
NO WEED, NO FIREWORKS AND
NO GUNS / WEAPONS.
That does not mean hard liquor. Never a need for a gun around kids. Blown up balloons are OK but the litter from water balloon is what their main concern. Smoking is permitted but in specified areas from the group & kids. **Marijuana NO**
Will I get my Membership Packets at the BBQ? Can I join that day? If so, will I get my packet the same day?
UPDATE: IF YOU PURCHASED YOUR MEMBERSHIP BEFORE JUNE 8th, YOUR PACKET WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE BBQ THIS SUNDAY. IF YOU NOT ABLE TO PICK UP AT THE BBQ, WE WILL SHIP IT TO YOU BY MAIL THE FOLLOWING WEEK (SHIPPING FEE NEEDED).
We will have reps with membership forms on Sunday to collect your dues.
We Will Have Packets AVAILABLE (First come, sizes limited L-3XL)
for new members that signed up BBQ Sunday.
Your membership will be ordered the following week. Dates ETA
Can I pay for Membership or Merchandise with Credit/Debit Card?
Yes... We have Square devices to run credit/debit transactions on all NW Raiders items. If you using a check/M.O. you can write a check to ANGIE RAMIREZ / NWRBC and note what it's writing out for (new memberships, products , etc.). If you need cash there is an AM-PM right up the street from the park plus several banks a few blocks away.
Is there a place to go if I need to do a beer/food run?
YES... within a few blocks we have a Costco, QFC, and several stores and shops to cover your needs.
Don't Forget:
The usual suspects: sunscreen, bug spray, lawn chair or blankets to chill out on, condiments for your burgers and dogs, red cups, iPods or media device to play on your music system, lemons/limes, wet wipes, and anything for the kids (remember they will be there the whole day so warm clothes just in case... And don't forget your HUNGER lol If you bring dishware, chairs etc... simple rule: "You bring it, You take it home. You're responsible for your items... no lost & found once the event is done.
